Dr. Joo Kim, DBA, MSHA, MSOM, L.Ac.
Director of Operations

Dr. Joo Kim is a highly educated and accomplished professional with a passion for healthcare. She is a CSUN Health Sciences Department faculty member, an Asian Medicine Specialist at the Klotz Student Health Center, and the co-founder/Director of Operations for a podiatrist group.

Dr. Kim earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Southern California, where she graduated with honors. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Business Administration from Grenoble Ecole de Management, a leading international business school with EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System), AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), and AMBA accreditations (The Association of MBAs).

She is the director of operations for Comprehensive Podiatric Care Inc, coordinating providers and care for more than 1000 beds.

Specifically, her research focuses on the following areas:
1) Establishing a bridge between health administrators and clinicians for improved healthcare.
2) Eliminating health disparities in the current society.
3) Cost-effective methods for improving care quality.

Her current studies include Implementing Video Demonstrations for Pressure Injury Prevention Education for Certified Nurse Assistants, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and Registered Nurses in Long-Term Care Facilities and Cost reduction in the dementia department of a nursing home with Horticulture therapy.
